How do you know what your spirit animal is?

I recognized the wolf first, from the deep kinship I feel from them, and from my instincts, and the downright wolflike reactions I have sometimes. I growl and bear my teeth when I'm annoyed, other times I have an odd urge to wag my tail or flatten my ears like a wolf (though of course having imobile ears and a distinct lack of tail prevents that!) I want to howl when I'm triumpant or out in a quiet place at night, and I often can hear howling echoes, as if from a great distance.

It's kinda hard to explain well since my definition of a spirit animal is quite a personal one. It's basically my beleif we have one primary spirit animal and two soecondary ones.

I actually had a dream about a chestnut brumby and realized a few of my reactions (like my instinct to run when in danger or even startled) are more equine.

The lioness took me the longest to realize. I think some of the lion traits I carried were easy enough to pass off as wolf ones, or I might have guessed it sooner.

In the end it was basically listening ot my heart and my instincts, two things I trust about myself
